Tik Tok’s Impact On Society
The question of whether TikTok should be banned has been widely debated in various countries around the world. Legal arguments will be heard in the United States Supreme Court on or about January 10th about the question of whether or not a ban on TikTok should be considered in America says CBS News.
Some arguments for banning TikTok are based on the following: 1) National Security concerns for data privacy because some say that TikTok collects a vast amount of personal data, and 2) the potential for cybersecurity risks are being evaluated due to fears that the app could be used to gather intelligence, spread misinformation, or even influence elections, especially given China’s strict control over tech companies.
